From chips to sticks

How our incense sticks are made

  1. Selecting & preparing agarwood

Agarwood chips are selected and split into smaller pieces so dirt, impurities and wood without resin can be removed. Material left after oil processing is not used for these sticks.

  2. Grinding

The prepared chips are crushed into coarse material, then ground into a fine powder for even blending and consistent stick formation.

  3. Mixing

Agarwood powder is combined with a natural binder. Clean water is added gradually, and the mixture is kneaded by hand into a soft dough. The process avoids chemical adhesives and artificial fragrance.

  4. Shaping

The dough is placed into a metal extruder and pressed into long, thin, coreless incense sticks.

  5. Drying

The formed sticks are laid flat in a shaded, well-ventilated place to dry gradually. Direct sun drying is avoided; the time needed varies with humidity.

  6. Finishing

The dried sticks are trimmed to a consistent length and visually checked for a smooth surface, straight form and absence of cracks. They are then placed into tubes for storage.
